A protest for the digital generation
In response to the 2019/20 Australian bushfires, and recontextualised by the global outbreak of COVID-19, MATE ACT NOW is a co-ordinated response of over 130 designers from some of the world’s top creative studios to drive climate action. As TWO we’ve submitted two posters: the first one called Awareness reflects on the theme of the interconnection between every life forms in nature. It has the appearance of a concrete poetry, and the aim is to represent with the language the complexity of the relationships between every living beings of the planet: never as now it appears clear that everything and everyone is connected. Not just when talking about technology, but all life is connected and no one can consider not being touched by the climate change effect. The second one is called Emissions: global emissions still increase, this is one of the main problems to solve for a better future. Poster plays with the concept of imagining a word without emissions. On the top, smoke is the present (as it is), on the bottom, the clean sheet is the wish for the future (as it should be).
