Shoppinghour Magazine collects words, images, thoughts and experiences that locate and unconceal the subtle nuances of contemporary life. In its form, Shoppinghour Magazine is a non-disposable tangible experience intended to be picked up and held, examined, read carefully, shared, referenced and discussed. It is neither a magazine nor a book, neither an object nor an idea; instead, it is a marriage of these, intended to take life in the hands and mind of the reader.
Shoppinghour Magazine was founded in 2008 in South East London. It was stocked internationally at selected stores and galleries, including Tate Modern, ICA, MoMA PS1, Artwords, Walther Koenig Books, Analogue, Aye-Aye Books, Do you read me!?, Palais de Tokyo, Yvon Lambert Gallery, Athenaem Boekhandel and many more. Launch events were organised at Candid Arts Centre, Café OTO, X Marks the Bökship, Ti Pi Tin, Platform Netil House and Super Salon in Warsaw. The project concluded in 2014.
