The Teatro Contatto campaign 2014–2015 (Season 33th) is based on a photographic concept, developed by our talented friend Mattia Balsamini. In his series there are seven different characters that in different places are listening their favorite songs. The pictures depict them at 1’ 07”, creating a conceptual link among all of them, without boundaries between young or old, black or white people. The inspiration of Mattia Balsamini’s series comes from the novel “Uno e 7” of Italian writer Gianni Rodari. We designed a campaign made of casual pairings of 6 different pictures, that would be randomly matched to become many different always legible posters. The logo Teatro Contatto has been modified to follow the idea of being readable also upside–down. The “X” and “I” elements that mean “33” in Roman numerals also seem like crosses on a map, to underline the concept of different people in different places.
CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia is the name of an experimental Italian cultural company that produces since 1982 a contemporary season called Teatro Contatto, made of well-known Italian and international artists.
